A Fun Sunday

This afternoon, Ali and I met two of her friends, Isabel and Maddie, with their Moms, at a local park. The girls played on the playscape, drew with sidwalk chalk and rode their bikes. The park had a long dirt path and at first Ali was hesitant about riding on it, but after a few minutes, Isabel had Ali going up and down ramps and on the dirt path with her at breakneck speed! Yay for the girls and their fun. We then went to dinner at a local chinese restaurant, Yang Ming, which has become a Bryn Mawr institution for the "Sunday Night Chinese" dinner as it is known. We were met there by Isabel's and Maddie's Dads and Isabel's little brother (he is adorable - ML - definite prom date material for Katelyn!).

The girls had a wonderful time (luckly we had our own private alcove so that the rest of the diners were not interrupted by Ali and Isabel belting out the "So, so, so, do, do, do" song or "Pizza daddyo" and whatever else they were singing). The antics were adorable and so much fun. We feasted on way too much wonderful Chinese food and at the end of the night, the ringleaders even got Maddie into the act with a rendition of a train to the chant of "Choo, Choo, AIS" throughout the restaurant (just in case the diners were curious where the three attend school).

Then, once Ali was asleep, I opened my email to find some wonderful pictures from Ali's joint birthday party with another classmate. The picture above is one taken by the little girl's mom - and yes, that is Ali and me on a hayride!!!!!!
