It has been about a year and two weeks since we moved from Plano to Villanova. Time has flown and so many changes. Ali has grown about 5 shoe sizes (10.5 to 13), 4 or 5 inches and close to 10 pounds. She has turned from a happy, adorable and smart preschooler to a confident, happy and bright girl.
Oh, the things she has learned in the past year: to tie her own shoes, to read and write and add and subtract, to ride a horse on her own (a good little trotter), to ride a bike and scooter by herself, to jump rope and play hopscotch and the list goes on. Here are the things that have not changed: she is still an incredibly kind, happy, empathetic and helpful girl, who loves her family and friends, and always shares and helps others. She also has her sense of humor which has only grown in time.
Favorite phrase of the past year? It has to be "finishing touch to doodles" invented by her and her good friend, Caroline, and picked up by many girls at her school. The runner up phrase, espoused by Ali and her friend, Maddie, is "for real."
Ali has done lots of fun things over the past year, including two trips to Dallas and her best friend, in the whole world, Jordan, coming to Phila. to visit her, and Disney World and lots of trips to NY.
We also have lots of local favorites, all on earlier posts on this blog.
It is amazing that Ali is turning 6 in exactly two months - time has really, really flown. But it has been a great year despite its challenges.
I am so proud of my baby girl and no matter how big she gets, she'll always be my baby girl.
I love you, Ali
