To make up for this, we have been blessed with two warm beautiful weeks in March (with some rain in between).
The first week was right after the last snow, and was so welcome, and helped to melt the snow quickly. This is also when we found out Ali had been accepted at Baldwin, an all girls school about two miles from our house, that she really wants to attend.
Here is Ali in her Baldwin sweatshirt the day after we enrolled her for next year.
A minute about balloon night at Gullifty's, a local favorite restaurant. The food is good and the balloon artist (for free) is incredible. Here is a sample of some of her work - we often go on Tuesdays jut for the balloons:
About five days ago, the weather turned gorgeous again, with temps in the 70s which is unheard of in March here, and we have been loving it. Late yesterday, we went to a friend's house to play outside and for dinner.
Here is Ali with her good friend on their scooters:
And a silly picture on a little ride in the playground:
And today riding again. Note that there was another lesson in the ring with four older girls jumping - I was so nervous that I had the teacher keep Ali on leadline the whole time. The teacher, Michelle, said Ali had one of her best lessons ever and is back to being her confident smiling self on a horse (and notice the pink riding tights and the shirt which says "Peace, Love and Horses" on it)!
