Today, Ali and I met two of her friends with one of their Moms at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, almost on the Delaware border, along with another girl and her sister, both of whom go to school with them. I have heard of Longwood ever since high school but despite my years in Philadelphia never made it there. What a beautiful treat. It is a combination botanical garden/arboretum with a twist - there are two childrens' gardens - one inside and one outside. It was a little chilly outside and we had one of the girl's baby brothers along, so we didn't stay outside too long. Just long enough for some great pictures. The gardens were decorated for Halloween with beautiful carved pumpkins, flowers and the works. It was very special.
Afterwards, we went to lunch with the two girls and the other mom. You can see why we call these three "The Three AIS Amigos." They are best buddies and always have fun together despite that they are not all in the same class (Ali was in class with one last year and the other this year).
